ROSARY RALLYSATURDAY OCTOBER 15 12:00 NOON we will share in the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary in honor of Our Lady of Fatima in the courtyard of the Church. All are invited to attend. Rain contingencies will be announced if needed.
RCIAIn the midst of our hectic daily lives we can come to a sense of longing for something more, seeking direction or fulfillment, of being valued or of being of value to the world. Have you, or someone you know, been curious about the beauty of our Catholic faith or perhaps wondered why we do what we do at Mass? Have you been searching for a deeper relationship with God?
Our RCIA/Adult Faith Formation meetings are set to begin on Wednesday October 26 at 6:30 in the Upper Room in the Parish Hall. RCIA, or the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, is the Church's provision to prepare people to become full members of the Catholic church. The meetings are also an opportunity for Catholics to renew and revitalize their understanding of our faith and to share what Catholicism means to them with potential converts. We welcome all inquirers, both Catholic and non-Catholic, to attend our RCIA/Adult Faith Formation meetings. We plan to use a new series from Ascension Press, "What we Believe: The Beauty of the Catholic Church". Please contact Amy Ulrich (amy.ulrich220@gmail.com) for more information and indicate your interest so materials can be provided for you. MINISTRY TRAININGIf you are interested in serving the parish as a lector or an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist, trainings will be offered in the coming months.
LECTOR TRAINING: St. Mary immediately following 8 AM Mass on Sunday September 25. Contact Jackie Beatty for more information. EUCHARISTIC MINISTER TRAINING: St. Joseph, Cobden. Deacon Pat Patterson will offer recertification training and new minister training Tuesday, October 18, at 6:45 PM in the St. Joseph Parish Hall. All present Eucharistic ministers and those wishing to be trained should attend. If you are interested in serving in these ministries and cannot make the scheduled training sessions, alternative arrangements can be made. Contact the Church office.
